  Sodium hydroxide flakes (commonly known as caustic soda flakes) are a white, translucent, thin, solid strong alkali, produced from liquid caustic soda through concentration and flake formation. Compared to granular caustic soda, flake caustic soda has a slightly lower production cost and a faster dissolution rate. It is widely used for pH adjustment in industrial circulating water, acid neutralization in wastewater treatment, synthesis of chemical raw materials (such as epoxy resins and sodium formate), alumina production (Bayer process), paper pulping, textile printing and dyeing desizing and mercerizing, soap and detergent manufacturing, and food processing (acidity regulator E524).

Rapid neutralization of acidity: A 1% solution has a pH value ≥13, which can quickly adjust acidic wastewater to neutral or alkaline, making it an essential alkali for the treatment of municipal sewage and industrial wastewater.
